Reticule with 2 back-to-back disk-shaped sections joined by accordion folds. Straight-topped closure section is formed of gold-tooled red Morocco, with a flap covering the opening of each section. Scalloped, polished steel locks and steel chains inserted through holes near the edge, part way down disks. Faces are covered with tortoiseshell panels radiating from a circular panel in the center, alternate ones further embellished with mother-of-pearl inlaid flowers with leaves. Lined with ivory kid and pink silk. Speculated to be either a German or French style.Collection
