Description

A photograph of a seated young woman wearing a dress that appears to be adapted to the styles of the 1860s. Double-tiered pagoda sleeves are now trimmed in velvet bands, and bodice has had buttons put on in three rows, to allude to military. Undersleeves, and a long tie around her neck which dangles in front. Belt around waist, and small removable collar. She has on all her finery. Photo is surrounded by ornate oval frame. Subject is unknown.
