A photograph of a seated young woman wearing a dress that appears to be adapted to the styles of the 1860s. Double-tiered pagoda sleeves are now trimmed in velvet bands, and bodice has had buttons put on in three rows, to allude to military. Undersleeves, and a long tie around her neck which dangles in front. Belt around waist, and small removable collar. She has on all her finery. Photo is surrounded by ornate oval frame.
