A two gallon salt glazed semi-ovoid stoneware crock. The exterior is glazed with a gray beige salt glaze, and the interior glazed in brown Albany slip. The rim is flattened, unglazed and rolled to the exterior, and undercut by a finger applied band. The lug handles are laid on in a C curve, one on each side attached along the length in a cupped crescent shape with blue cobalt petal shapes at each attachment. A double incised line goes under the handles. The body of the crock is painted on one side with two flowers, stems and leaves flanked by two numeral "2"s.Collection
