black silk overlaid with black chiffon arranged in horizontal puffy tucks and hanging over the edge as a tucked frill; further embellished with narrow black satin ribbon frills. Lined with black silk. Black painted handle with elaborate incised designs; marquise hinge; hinged stick with black lacquered brass slider; loop handle with chiffon ruff around stick.
