Black glass mourning brooch. Appears to be a belt buckle with 2 separate heart-shaped pieces that were converted to a brooch. The pieces were glued to metal plates that were attached to belt fasteners. The plates were soldered together and a tube hinge and c clasp attached. The surface of each heart shaped piece is intricately textured with pyramidal forms, small domes, carved leaves and stippled with lines. Flat areas are faceted. 2 7/8" long 1 1/2" wideCollection
