Entirely hand stitched white PW cotton. Rectangular. Edged with small vandykes alternating with tiny pom poms. Embroidered with white cotton in large arabesque floral motifs in tambour-work, and satin and eyelet stitches. White cotton drawstrings with tassels, in casings. Each side signed at top “Hannah Spaulding - 1816”-- one tamboured, one running stitched-- and 1816. Lined with carefully pieced linen, signed inside. Bag is 10 3/4” long x 8 3/4” wide.Collection
