Polonaise over-dress made of black silk taffeta. High round neckline with a center front button closure. The inner bodice is lined with glazed brown cotton with stays at the center front and the center back. Long tight sleeves with a slight puff at the sleeve cap. Cut waist at side but back panel continues down into a small bustle space. Cuffs, upper sleeves, neckline down the center front, and hem are trimmed in black taffeta ruched and hand-sewn onto the dress. The rest of the major seams are machined. Sleeve wrist filled with pleated machined netting, clumsily sewn down. The center front tabs extend down into what would have been the underskirt space - chevrons pattern on tabs.Collection
