The subject is a nicely carved "Rebecca at the Well" motif popular from 1860-1900. Cottage and woman's dress are interpreted in English Victorian style. This scene has a well house with Rebecca going over a bridge and a cottage and trees. Tube hinge and c catch 1 3/4" long. 1 5/8" wide
