Description

Petticoat made of coarse cotton woven with channels filled with jute or hemp roving or cord. Made in two rectangular sections, with 16 rows spaced 1” apart from hem toward waist, and 6 more spaced 2.5”. Gathered evenly all around into white cotton waistband with a bone button, with slit into the cloth- rather than being made into the seam. Standard right-sides-together seams whose allowances are covered with the same cloth for neatness No marks except name crudely inked inside waistband: Eustis
