"Hand knit, soft, fine S singles ruby (bluish) red wool, fuzzy now. Beautifully knit. Virtually seamless foot; 1” ribbed cuff. The top has been “ended out” with a 3” band of ribbing in a warm red, and the toe appears to have been “ended out” as well; possibly the heel has been reworked. The foot additions are the same hue as the rest, a little lighter, but not fuzzy. The heel may only appear newer because the nap was worn away by the heel. (But why just there?) There is a row of bright red (synthetic?) repair wool on the edge of one cuff. These seem to be expertly made, well-loved and well-tended.11” long by 18” high."Collection
