Fine white cotton petticoat, hand stitched seams and superbly embroidered hem, with a machine stitched cotton waistband with a pearl button. Recycled 1820s dress. The embroidery is large-scale with double scalloped edge and large eyelets in a vinelike border, heavy padded satin stitch in white cotton. The embroidery on the hem is clearly from the 1820s.Collection
