Waistcoat, entirely hand stitched; SB; shawl collar. Black silk satin with PW white cotton lining, dk brown back. Notched back with wide strap, black lacquered buckle. Wide pockets, curved watch pocket. Long waisted, slightly curved seams, tiny brocade buttons. Heavy poadding shoulder to hem. Leather facing. Note included: “My grandmother made this vest for my grandfather for their wedding in 1882. Notice the hand done buttonholes. Sarah Hornsby for George C. White”Collection
