Description

Machine-stitched waistcoat made of black silk with small brocade leaflets. Single breasted. 5 flat self buttons. Rather narrow shawl collar opening medium height, width toward bottom. Pointed bottom. Tapered effect with darts through almost horizontal welt pockets. Watch pocket. Padding in front. Straight back edge. Lined with off white twill cotton. Back is brown twill glazed cotton. Extending across side back from the seam, just below each armscye is a 5” brown twill tape reinforcement attached with wide herringbone stitching straddling the tape. Wide straps in back (hand-stitched). Black lacquered buckle with molded message. Top stitched on collar and welts. Double rows around armscyes.
