Description

Entirely hand stitched fine buff camleteen with pairs of brocaded silk weft bands: a narrow red leaflike motif with tiny chartreuse accent squiggle adjoining a buff, tightly meandering vine. SB, high opening with standing collar. Wide and short shape overall with wide armscyes; slightly downward point in front; flat self buttons only from center to hem. Two long, slightly trapezoidal pocket welts from side seam. Back and lining of stout, unbleached PW cotton. Small back, no pleat, straight bottom. Narrow flaps of glazed cotton having 4 hand stitched eyelets attached on either side of CB. Edges finely topstitched.
