Description

Entirely hand-stitched waistcoat made of white Manchester goods (figured dimity) with a small diamond-cross-hatch design. High opening with a narrow shawl collar wide at the base. Single-breasted. 6 self-buttons. 2 wide welt pockets above a gently curved bottom edge. 1 small welt pocket on proper left chest. Plain weave cotton lining and back. Strap in the back for a buckle. High back vent. Straight side seams. No darts. Widely-set topstitching around the side and armscyes, standard on the edges.
