Description

Entirely machine-stitched waistcoat made of white Manchester goods (figured dimity) with a small design of textured diagonal grid lines filled alternately with what look like tiny leaves and stems. High opening with narrow shawl collar wider at the base. Single-breasted. 6 MOP buttons and handmade buttonholes. Side seams are curved, and there is a long dart angled from the side front up toward the center about 2” about the pocket welt, which is a little curved. The bottom front corners are rounded. Line of topstitching is about 1/2” from the edges. Plain weave white cotton lining and back. Strap for the buckle. No back vent.
