Description

Tan Russia leather pocketbook, faded from darker brown. Curved flap with tab extending to back, secured by a strap. Front flap has one pasteboard pocket, the back, two, lined with blue paper. Outside edges have narrow tooled stripe borders; inside edges including pockets have narrow chain-link borders. A “B” is stamped inside the end of the tab. Ink inscription on inside reads: Robt Raymond. Orange County. State of N. York 1822. The inside is lined with pieced leather.
