Wallet or small portfolio of red Morocco, lined with tan leather with various tooled decorative borders, and rose patterned paper, not marbled- looks like wet-on-wet stamping. Green liner on inner tab. Several compartments including a divider with sections for pencils etc. Gold stamped lettering on top edge reads: BENJAMEN JOY, JUNr UNION RIVER. 1801.
Inside an ink inscription reads: “Came into possession of Benjamin F. Joy when of age 1869". The paper lining is plain
