Description

Entirely hand-stitched suit made of novelty-weave cotton. Probably a light tan originally. Rows of brass-rimmed fancy pearl buttons (originally) on each side of the frock, on vest, tails, pockets, and cuffs. Trimmed with narrow silk flat braid. High-waisted Frock Coat (a) - stylish sleeve heads. Black or dark brown velvet collar. False vest. Pleated tails with flaps in the back. Trousers (b) - coarse cotton bodice and straps, backdrops down. Front closure. Slanting welt pocket on either side of trouser fronts. 1 each stained bone and wood button.
