Description

Little boy’s suit of black silk velvet with small silk-covered ball buttons. Knickers (a) - close-fitting, reaching to the knee. Bottom banded with black silk satin ribbon. 3 buttons above each knee. Waistband with exterior and interior buttonholes. Side openings. Jacket (b) - simple waist-length boxy shape with front opening edges finished with black silk soutache and 3 triplets of buttons on either side. Straight tubular sleeves have 3 buttons at the bottom and braid bands outlining a ‘cuff’. High round neckline that closes with a concealed hook and eye.
