Description

Entirely machine-stitched except for buttonholes boy’s skeleton suit made of unbleached twilled tow linen-striped with cream; perhaps a kind of fustian. Top (a) - long, fairly straight 2-piece sleeves. High round neckline with narrow band collar with a quickly-basted white percale frill Front opening placket with 5 white glass buttons; waistband with 7 more for the pants. Pleated into the center front and back of the waistband. The front and back are pieced at each side. Placket and waistband faced with light brown plain-woven cloth. Pants (b) - open on each side, waistbands have 5 buttonholes each. Fullness pleated into center front and back waistband. The left side has a placket finish, the other a pocket, the linen not even turned under or finished where attached to it. Waistband faced with light brown plain-woven cloth, also used for pocket bag.
