Entirely hand-stitched overskirt made of sheer muslin. Smooth across front and gathered closely in back. High in front, long in back. 3” hem all around, embroidered in white cotton with floral spray design. Waistband with back opening, button closure. Skirt is off-grain, curving upward in the center front, indicating that it was recycled from a standard skirt perhaps dating around 1850 or earlier.Collection
