Description

Partly hand-stitched little boy's tunic made of bright red plaid wool. Top (a) - high round neckline. Tunic style with a curved front opening on the proper right beginning across the shoulder. Coat sleeves. Gored skirt. Lined with off-white PW cotton. Black velvet ribbon outlines either side of the button strip, and pairs follow the hem and cuffs. Buttons are replacements. Matching Trousers (b) - side openings, no front closure. Gathered onto the plain off-white cotton waistband, each side with 3 buttonholes. Bottoms gathered into cuffs with faceted black glass buttons, the one sewn with white thread seems original.
