Description

Entirely hand-stitched long nightshirt or bathing gown made of coarse cotton. Narrowband collar. Cut like a chemise with a flaring shape. Gores on proper right side front and back. Masculine reinforcements at armscyes (over which the gores extend), along the shoulder, and neck gusset. Underarm gussets, long narrow sleeves gathered scantily into narrow band cuffs with buttons slightly closer to the sleeve than to the middle of the cuff. Simple thick cotton machine-laced lace edging on the collar, cuffs, and deep front slit. 4 white glass buttons. Covered-over slit in the back neck.
