Description

Entirely hand stitched silk brocade, deep cobalt blue with broad black stripes with blue nosegays. Open all down front, which is bordered with black silk velvet. Hem finished with black wool braid. Rather high, straight waist with self belt attached at each side seam. Pleated fullness, more in back. High round neckline. Pagoda sleeves with black silk velvet turnback cuffs. Bodice boned, lined with brown coutil; inner front floating bodice with hand stitched eyelets. Skirt lined with brown cotton. Insides of ends of sleeves and opening faced with blue silk. Hook and eye closure on bodice.
