Cartouche of Point de Gaze floral spray alternating with Brussels flower above a floating leaf.Karen Augusta:Hand-made Brussels mixed lace is composed of Brussels bobbin lace with medallions of point de Gaz needle lace inserted into the Brussels lace. This narrow edging example is worked very crudely in both the bobbin and the needle lace. I would date this piece to the early 20th C. "
