Pair of ivory silk satin slippers with tapered square toes; straights. Heel-less with rounded heel and slight arch. Slender foot. No back seam. Heel and sole lined with white kid, vamp with cambric or linen. Very neatly made, fine quality. All 4 narrow satin ivory silk ribbon ties remain.. Inked Gauche and Droit, and “38/L m.”. Tan cut-corner paper label inside reads: “25, Passage de l’opera Galerie du Barometre Certost, Fournissent de LL MM la Reine des Francais et la Reine des Belges et de LL AA RR MM less Princesse Adelaide et Clementine d’Orleans.” 10” long. Wrapped in a yellow paper with inked inscription: “Wedding Shoes Oct. 8th 1833 AJD” Part of Anna Hopkin Dyer’s wedding attire.Collection
