Five women are depicted, the middle woman is with a child. The woman all the way to the left is in a red and black gown with dramatic points and stripes. A black bow with a red button tightens the back. Her hair is pulled into a bun, and she has red flowers in her hair. A red ribbon is securing her hair underneath. The woman next to her on the right is in a green gown with a white stripe undershirt and green dress that has the shoulders come to a point; adorned with a green flower. She has white ruffles and a big bow at the base of her dress gathering the fabric. Her hair is decorated with pink flowers and green leaves. The woman in the middle is dressed in all black with a blue striped underskirt. There are brief, modest ruffling. Her bonnet is secured with a blue long flowing ribbon. Her right hand is holding the hand of a child dress in tan and red with three tassels decorating the back. The hat is flat at the top. The woman to the right of the woman in the middle is wearing a purple dress with a black vest. Tassels are decorated throughout the ensemble, black on the vest, and purple on the dress. An arch like pattern is decorated on the base of her dress. The woman all the way to the right is dressed in a tan and orange dress with a round point in the back. Tassels decorate the garment; she is holding binoculars. Her hand is flat like the child's, but she has fabric attached.
