Description

Ivory silk crepe woven as plain weave with loose Z twist warp, and weft with tight Z and S twist in alternation. Knotted silk Z2S fringe*. Lavishly and densely embroidered narrow floral border with larger square floral motifs in opposite corners, one featuring a peony or rose, the other a passionflower. Selvages; narrow hem with running stitch. 6 rows of knots (1”), 7” fringe over all. 55” x 56”
