Description

Older gentleman, bust portrait, looking off to his left and slightly down. He wears a fine merino wool frock coat (bottom of coat is not seen). Silk or finely spun wool waistcoat in dark color not matching frock coat. Single-breasted with self-buttons. Medium-high lapel placement, uncertain if lapels are notched or shawl. White shirt with buttons of carved MOP with turn-down detachable starched collar. Silk bowtie neck-clothing. Appears to be silk taffeta or silk satin. Beard without mustache, with fullness of beard at and beneath chin. Written in pencil on card beneath carte window, "Father of Delia wife of Frank MacDowell, Rev. James Parker.
