Very fine ivory silk s2z warp; fine pale beige wool singles [?] weft. Supplementary warp of brown, orange, red, olive and black. Twill weave. 60” long by 62.5” wide. Selvages include peach, white and brown silk supplementary warp threads for 1/2” border. Weft borders are 1” bands of wool. The rest is a pale field filled with approximately 1” vaguely cone-shaped supplementary weft motifs distributed at 2” intervals in apposite staggered rows. Feels like mohair, not wool,Collection
