Description

Huge shawl made of hand spun, hand woven, exquisite ivory-colored cashmere.* Yarns and fibers are very fine. Sheer, gossamer, creamy soft, warm. Woven in barely perceptible narrow herringbone weave, with 1/4” silk selvages also in herringbone weave. Yellow silk cartouche embroidered in one corner, presumably some sort of signature. Very delicate self fringes, self-clumped, about 4” long. About 5.6 feet wide by 22 feet long - woven in one width.
