Long, wide rectangular shawl, machine woven. Deep end borders with pairs of fairly staid facing butas above odd geometric band which is also woven along selvedges, extending and knotted a little past the shawl end which has only short, thin warp fringe, no harlequin colors. (once longer?) Small butas and anthemia [?] spaced inside lengthwise border. Black field, very thin, all fine [merino?] wool or silk. Colors are red, gold, pale blue, green,white.About 5” wide by 10’ long.Collection
