Description

Entirely hand-stitched shirt made of heavy unbleached tow linen. Long, narrow topstitched bosom above a band above cartridge pleated fullness. 3 white China buttons. Wide sleeves with underarm gussets fitted into armscyes with small pleat at middle of front and back. Cartridge-pleated into cuffs with curved corners and centered buttonholes. Narrow turnover collar with stepped front made of sturdy white cotton. Tiny neck gussets towards back. Deep side vents. Wide shoulder reinforcement. Body cartridge pleated into collar at the center back. Tiny eyelet in left front shoulder worked with crocking red thread.
