Description

Infant shirt of fine linen fabric. Made from two pieces sewn together at side seams. Shoulder seams are connected with a piece of machine-embroidered tape or fabric cut into a tape panel. Entirely hand-stitched. Bottom edge has a turn-and-turn hem of about 3/4" depth. CB has folded box pleat facing inward, presumably to allow the shirt to be let out. The pleat is set at the top neckline and the bottom hem, so this would not allow for ease unless unstitched. CF edge, neckline, and sleeve edges are trimmed with hand-woven bobbin or pillow lace.
