Pair of man’s riding boots or wellingtons, finely made, machine stitched uppers. Leg is maroon Russia leather (?) and foot is black calf (?) cut with a diamond shaped ‘tongue’. Rather high stacked heels with nails only along outer perimeter; steel arch. Right-left; square toes with rounded corners, little or no toe spring. Woven straps for pulling on. Large, flourishing inked inscription inside top of each on: Robt Slater Esq.2. Pair of slip-on spurs of finely hand wrought steel, with small blunt spikes on the rowels.Collection
