The woman is wearing a short dressing gown with a rounded collar, points at the center, and mancherons over a longer dress with two tiers and large gigot sleeves with a sash tied around the waist. On her head, an elaborately frilled morning cap. The child is wearing a dress with a wide, frilled collar and short, puffed sleeves. The dagged border and vine-like trim on the skirt matches the child's pantalettes.
