Ground plate has two sections created by metal "wall" that conforms to the shape of the pin. The outer section has stamped lines (or machine turned) covered with blue translucent enamel. The inner section has a stamped or machine turned lines covered with white translucent enamel. This is then hand painted with pink/red flowers and green leaves. This is known as guilloche enameling. The ground plate is made of sterling silver with a round hinge and c-clasp. STERLING is stamped on the back. Pin is 1 1/8" long 3/16" wideCollection
