Description

Summer pelisse made of a semi-sheer white cotton dimity, unlined. Front opening, only fastened by four small dorset thread buttons in bodice and two metal hooks and eyes on waistband. Rounded collar is edged with a sheer mull or lawn ruffle. Bodice front is cut on the bias and gathered slightly at each side to waistband; back is cut square and gathered densely to waistband. Long, full sleeves with short overlseeves that match the collar, and self-fabric ruffles cut on the bias at wrist; odd cuffs with drawstrings attached to wrist at ruffle as well. Front of skirt is edged with mull ruffles, and bottom of skirt trimmed with two rows of ruffles. Hand sewn.
