Sash pin of gilded base metal (brass?)--two ovals, intertwined with one another. Pressed metal, with some of the gilding rubbed off. The tongue is attached to give the illusion of a real belt buckle. Ovals are adorned with motifs of flowers, leaves, vines.
On the back is a round hinge and c-clasp. There are indications that buckle fastener at one point in time was broken off (?) and made into a sash pin. 2 1/8" long 2" wideCollection
