Pair of men's Wellington boots of brown and black leather, lined with white leather. Pull straps of off-white and blue cotton twill tape. Shaft is brown leather; vamp and quarter are stiffer black leather, shaped with a peaked "tongue" that is carried over the brown leather at center front. Squared toe; stacked heel on curve-lasted sole, thickened and stained black at the edge under instep, and with small nails hammered into heel along outer edge. "Robt Slater Esq" written on lining.
