Violin Case

Entry/Object ID

Description

A violin, bow, and wooden case. The case is constructed of wood with a convex top to accommodate the violin’s shape and features a swing handle and two hook-and-eye closures, both showing visible wear. Its interior is unpadded, lined with brown striped cloth that loosely covers the violin. The bow, made of wood, is D-shaped and lacks its original horsehair; it rests in a designated holder on the upper interior of the case. The violin itself is wooden, with a scroll top, four tuning pegs, two F-holes, and a single chin rest. It is missing all of its strings.
