Shoulder yoke for human use. A single piece of wood has been hollowed in the center and a hole cut in one side to fit the neck and shoulders of a person. The ends taper to a point, where a groove has been made to hold rope, which is tied to sticks with a joint to hang bucket handles from. A nail has been driven through each point to keep the rope from sliding off. There are a series of nail holes in the body of the yoke near the neck opening, their purpose is unknown. Part of one rope is missing, so the second stick and a short piece of rope have been attached to the other, longer rope.Collection
