Description

Black and white photograph of William Parker Lyon the founder of the Lyon Van and Storage Company and creator of the first Pony Express Museum. Lyon moved his museum from San Marino to Arcadia in 1934. His museum of western memorabilia was an instant success and drew record crowds to Arcadia until it's closure in 1955. In this c 1934 photograph he is seen in a suit and wearing a white hat.
