Description

An early1950s or late 1940s black and white photograph with a small black border on the top and left sides of this area of parker Lyons Pony Express Museum in Arcadia. This section of the interior leads to the swinging doors of the "Butte City Saloon"and hundreds of items of western memorabilia hanging from the ceiling, on shelves and in locked glass and wood cases. Examples of what's seen in this area are large carved Indian statues, a hotel sign (Hollenbeck Hotel), photographs, glassware, signs and a western bar room. The building is made of wood with large plank flooring and a beam ceiling. The Museum closed in 1955.
