Description

An early1950s or late 1940s black and white photograph with a small black border on the top and left sides of this photograph of the interior of Parker Lyon's Pony Express Museum in Arcadia. This section of the interior shows hundreds of items of western memorabilia hanging from the ceiling and on shelves or locked glass and wood cases. Examples of what's seen in this bar room area are a roulette table, western clothing, animal trap, card playing tables, a wonderful old bar with a foot rail, old bottles, photographs, spinning games of chance chairs, stools, stuffed animal heads, signs, and hundreds of other items found from our old west. The building is made of wood with large plank flooring and a beam ceiling. The Pony Express Museum closed in 1955.
