The Gunnison House, a Pivotal Structure, is located at 820 Ivy Avenue. Austin Gunnison built his home in the Tuscan Villa style. To house his extensive art collection and library, he constructed a large room extending the entire east side of the house. His home became known as the "Art Museum of Glendale". The building lost its upper story in the 1940s when it was removed by the Anderson family. The attic was lowered onto 1st floor according to information on photos from 1940s.
