The Britton Roberts House, a Pivotal Structure, is located at 50 Fountain Avenue East. The house is built on what is the highest point in the Village. It was one of the earliest houses to be built after the sale of the lots by the Glendale Association. Alterations include the addition of a large panelled library, a greenhouse, and a two storied columned porch across the front. A dungeon like cell in the basement is said to have been a stop on the underground railroad.
