Scope and Content

This house, located at 10805 Chester Road, is a contributing structure built c. 1873. In 1873, the property was tranferred from the Donnellys to William A. Procter. A mortgage of $1,400 was also agreed upon indicating the house may have been built at that time. The property was then left to the Procter heirs. In 1959, a large piece of property, of which this lot was a part, was transferred to a real estate company and became the Oaks Subdivision. The house is also known as "the farmer's cottage". A three car garage was moved to the property from The Oaks in 1959.
