The house located at 65 South Lake was originally a one room school house circa 1864. It was later converted to a residence with the addition of a wing. The architect was Woodie Garber. The basement, beams and one window are original to the house (Source: 2005 Home Owners Survey). The Wiggington family lived there up until the 1960s. After Mary Wigginton died the house was remodeled c. 1960s (source: descendent of Mary Wigginton).
